    Dont sleep on Victor Ortiz

I think hes the future of the jr. welterweight division. Word on the street is that sometime next year he and Ricardo Torres might go at it. I think Ortiz has all the tools to become a great fighter. Hes southpaw, hes fast, he hits hard, his punches are very sharp and come at you so fast, and he has good defense. People like to compare him to Fernando Vargas because the whole Oxnard thing and La Colonia gym but they are completely different fighters. and Ortiz isnt even originally from Oxnard. Ive been watching Ortiz since his fight vs Nungaray and i think hes got what it takes to be champ. What do you guys think of Ortiz? The jr. welterweight division isnt that tough of a division right now, its being run by Cotto victims right now.

Im Puerto Rican,Mexican, and Brazilian, nice to meet you.

lol nah i see what your saying. Torres has a tough fight against Mike Alvarado next though. I think Torres wins that though but in a Torres-Ortiz fight i see Torres KOing him. Torres is a KO waiting to happen. Hes just a very dangerous guy.

Xcaret did you see Ortiz fight Clottey? Man that was crazy he knocked him out with like 1 second left in the fight. Also do you know the story with his only loss? It was a DQ in the first round. I never saw that fight, what happened?

They are going to try to sell him like they did Vargas. Vargas played into the whole Mexican Machismo crap. I think Ortiz is the real deal, has dealt with more real adversity in life, and won't try to be as animated as Fernando. The boy's got real skills and he seems to be a real person.

The Ortiz dq happened here in Oxnard. He knocked down his opponet, and while his opponet was on the ground, Ortiz punched him and the ref dq him.

Roberto Garcia got him as an amature to come over to train in Oxnard, he was heavily guided with money behind him even in his amature days. Garcia saw something in him and him being a former Champion saw the talent, the rest is history.

Theres a short documentary about Ortiz around in the net that you can check out.

                  Wow, is this true?

I think they are rushing him, just because he is getting quick ko's but before he ko'd Mauusa i thought he was going to have a very tough fight.

                    didnt Garcia adopts him?

I seen that video before, the name of it is Victory. Yea they will try to sell him like they did Vargas but hes really not like that at all.

Ortiz was supposed to be fighting Torres then all of a sudden Torres signed to fight Alvarado, but i didnt know he turend the fight down. It will probably happen in 08 though.
