Brock couldn't have won that fight even if he had been in the best shape of his life. He was completely taken to school by Chambers. I was impressed.

Who knows if he's peaked or not.

The knock on Chambers would, again, be overall resume. It was a close fight with Brock, even if some think he dominated - on paper it looks dubious. He still has quite a bit to prove.

I can say I'd throw Brock and Briggs off the list - they both had their shot at the big time and showed limited skills.

I'll go with Thompson - a tall southpaw- though I've admittedly only seen him against Couser and Dominic Guinn.
I suggest you actually watch the Chambers vs Brock fight. At no point was Brock even close to being in the fight. It was very Wright vs Trinidad esque, with Chambers mercilessly working behind his quick strait jab.

True, Prime Holy would KO eveyone on that list.

I would have to say eddie chambers. Im really impressed with his handspeed and defense. he may not have much power which is unusual for a heavyweight but i see him winning a major title in the future.

            Tony Thompson, and that's pathetic.

Maybe there's a world-class American heavyweight, a teenager in prison somewhere, like Tyson was...

You have the best heavyweight in the U.S right there, a top 10 ranked heavyweight fighter, a two time world heavyweight champion, the man that beat Evander Holyfield, the man that beat Hasim Rahman, the man that Lennox Lewis ducked.

                John Ruiz

Asking someone to choose the best American heavyweight is like asking someone to choose which cancer they want to die from:

NO MATTER WHICH YOU CHOOSE, THEY ALL ****ING SUCK!
