    Roy Jones JR...

Ok... Everyone has the opinion Roy is totally shot and is nothing anymore but after thinking about it for a while I thought of something. If Joe Calzaghe and Roy fight after their next fight with both of them retiring after it wouldn't that give Roy the motivation to train like he did before and go back to himself just for that fight atleast?

I saw glimpses of his former self in the Hanshaw fight and I don't think he can just go away completely in 3 years of so. I think Joe Calzaghe vs Roy Jones if it happened would be a cracker, Roy will want to go out on a ****.

Roy Jones Jr reminds me of Ronaldo in football.

Even if Ronaldo is fat and only 30% of his speed he has he is still a very good footballer.

Similar to Roy even if he is shot and uses 30% of his ability and speed he still could beat couple of top LHW contenders

I still want to see the fight even though it will not do much for Joe to beat this version of Roy, it does seem like a fight that can be made.
Roy said he would travel over to Joe, and I do think it will sellout and be a big match for boxing. Roy isn't the same fighter, but his mind still works. When he came down from Heavyweight, the way he did it, losing muscle weight that fast, must have destroyed the equilibrium in his body or at least put it in long-term shock and needs time to recover, which it will never recover to 100% or anywhere near that given the body is a complex, delicate machine and given Roy's age. Same seemingly happened to Tarver when he pulled a Roy diet plan to increase, then decrease in a short time.

If both promise to be their last fight, I'm for it.

So you are saying like Ronaldo, Roy is still a threat, even if it is only 30% left, since they were once Gods, then dropped down to semi-Gods, but now, although mortal, are still threats as mortals because of remnants left of God-like powers.

After watching the Hanshaw fight, Jones still has maybe 70% of his speed, which would still make him faster than a lot of the LHW out there. He had the power to hurt Hanshaw as well so I wouldn't say he was totally shot. If he fights Calzaghe in his last fight, I'd watch it.

            Roy is only human.

All I saying that Roy and Ronaldo has so much talent in there sport even if they go past there prime there are still good.

Roy is good but he cant beat the best LHW like Chad Dawson or Hopkins. but he could still beat Clinton Woods and many other good contenders

Yes, Yes, I understand...I was just blowing things up a bit for some fun.

Former Great Athletes can also put together one last great performance.

Remember Jordan with the Wizards? Not nearly the Jordan of old, but sometimes, on some nights, he showed sparks of the old Jordan and could put up 40-50 points.
