The reason every writer is SOOOO EAGER to vote SSM into the hall of fame, is because he has always been amazing good to the media and writers, nice in post fight interviews, and just all in all a great guy.

Im not saying Mosley doesnt belong in the Hall fame, cause i most certainly do think he belongs there. But The reason you see writers like Dan Rafael salivating at the thought of SSM in the hall of fame, is for this reason.

I think Shane gets in on his own merits, but it doesn't hurt when everyone voting likes you. Barry Bonds may learn this the hard way in five years. And Dan Rafael is a total mark.

Yea i agree that he earns it on his own merits, but the reason every article about SSM immediatly calls him a future hall of famer is because they have all met Shane, and Shane was extremely nice to them like he is to everybody.


If Shane greeted everyone with a nice "**** you" and punch in the mouth, they would be more reluctant to call him a future hall of famer, get my drift?

It helps being nice. They talk about this with baseball as well, how some guys are not voted in simply because they were disliked by the media, which is another reason why they should take their votes away. I would rather have the athletes vote since they would know best and maybe even include an open ballot for the fans to vote by computer.

The one thing about Shane, from everything I hear, is that he is a nice guy to everybody, it's just him, so at least if that is true, he isn't faking it just to be liked. It's also why some say they wish Shane was a little more edgy/angry because it would have possibly made him a better fighter. To much anger can be bad, but just the right amount, can be good. They say the same for Wilt...if only he was more like Russell.
