the diffrence is that if the williams fight doesnt happen is because margarito is fighting a guy better than williams for more money.
mayweather faught a guy (my opinion)not as good as margarito for same money.
margarito is takeing a harder fight for more moeny.
Floyd took easier fight for more money.

You could also make the case that Cotto is easier, because Williams already beat Margarito, and Margarito doesn't want to lose again.

I haven't formulated my opinion on this yet, but I do think that it is quite hypocritical to give Margarito 100% credit for fighting Cotto instead of Williams.

That's what I'm saying... considering that Baldomir had just beaten Judah (a bigger name than anyone Margarito had beaten at that point) it's hard to say that he was less skilled... he was largely unproven.

william beat margarito, but margarito him self has not beat "great fighters" he beat many good ones in my opinion.
cotto beat malinaggi who is a good boxer, zab who has decent carrere, and a hall of famer in mosely. i put him well above williams. williams is good but i think he gets more love than he deserves kind of like margarito actually does
