Magic Man Documentary To Premier on Showtime

NEW YORK – DiBella Entertainment and Brave St. Productions are proud to announce the television premiere of “Magic Man” as it will air exclusively on SHOWTIME, Dec. 30 – Jan. 4. The documentary film chronicles the ascent of perpetual underdog Paulie the “Magic Man” Malignaggi, a scrawny kid from a broken home who, in quest to prove his life was worth something, defeated all odds to arrive at the Mecca of boxing (where is this) one big upset away from proving everyone wrong. It’s a story of disappointment, determination, of stamina and salvation. [details]

Malinaggi seems like a nice enough guy...past the braggadocios nature of his...but why does HE get a documentary? Why not ****ing Carlos Baldomir who went from nothing to an actual champion fighting the pound for pound best? He's the best Cinderella story in years. Why does Pauli, who has gotten most of his acclaim from being whooped by Cotto, get honors tons of more accomplished boxers don't? Business is a *****.

I for one do not begrudge Paulie the great chance here to really break through in his career. He really does have the talent and charisma to bring in more fans for the sport, which helps the Carlos Baldomirs of boxing too. Paulie works as hard as anyone from what I hear so more power to him.
