Kicks are much harder than punches. The guy had a very good chin, period. Like him or hate him, even if he never fights again, he's still in the record books for the highest KO percentage of any heavyweight champ ever.

Too bad they can't provide the video. But like I said, kicks are much more powerful than punches, especially spinning kicks. It's no surprise to me. I honestly believe any man ever would go down by a well placed kick like that.

There is a Fighting Science Video somewhere on the Web that "Proves" a Boxers PUNCH is Harder Than a KICK.

I don't have the time to find it so hope someone else or yourself can find it.

I am not making this up either.

It is to do with speed/power/weight ratio.
The force generated from a punch comes up your feet through your body to the end of your arm....fist.

The video you posted showed that the average hard punch is around 1000lbs of force I believe. Karate and Kung Fu kicks have around the same power. Taekwondo spinning kick was like 1500. But the closest thing to Kickboxing, Muay Thai, had very powerful knee strikes. But they all kicked to the body instead of the face. Body can take more than the face.

                  Yeah he hasn't.

And of course all of the haters stretch what they hear about a stoppage loss to Maskaev, when his corner threw in the towel because Vitali wasn't following their instructions and they became pissed off.

then his resume of wins should at least be good by today's standards.

for instance, wlad and ruiz have beaten more top 10 ring-ranked heavyweights than brittley has.
