I dunno if you know this but Nate Campbell fought back to back IBF title eliminators .. and STILL didn't get his shot at the title because Julio fought and got his ass whipped by Juan instead.

I think thats what Asian Sensation means by boxing politics.

Honestly... that guy is the posterboy for idiocy in the sport of boxing because of that.
Well, it's very clear that you know him intimately.

With Casamayor and Katsidis tied up, this is the only lightweight matchup that makes any sense for Diaz. What's fitting is that Campbell did not go to court to block Diaz-Diaz. I think he was hoping to have a chance to pick up all the belts in '08. Julio Diaz, whom Juan Diaz beat to annex the IBF belt, recently called out Campbell after losing the belt that Campbell was seeking.

I guess I have to respect his decision against Peden as intelligent because I don't know him on a personal level?

          That doesn't make ANY sense.

Nonetheless, I believe Nate to be confident in this fight. He seems highly motivated to make this fight a reality. This will likely be Nate's last chance at a world title so he needs to make the most of this opportunity.

While highly informative, I learned that it is difficult to interview a man changing his brakes.

I understand where Campbell is coming from, but people need to understand Diaz doesn't want to get tied up with Don King for another six months. If King drops the options the fight gets made.

It's a mis-match, diaz wipes the floor with campbell. Plus Campbell the wife beater doesn't deserve a fat paycheck since he enjoys beating women.

I admire juan diaz for not signing immediately the contract. Juan must scrutinize every details of it to see to it that it is well defined. DKP's "hold" to juan for another 180 days if the contract is called off is something to worry about. Juan should learn the lesson Pacman has had with Arum and Golden Boy. Its a good thing that Pacman is the most marketable pugilist in his division so promoters will come to terms because they will certainly get their lion's share. We can not blame campbell for rocking heaven and earth for Juan to sign the contract because he has nothing to lose in this fight, all works to his advantage. Juan is the top 135 pounder and all eyes are on him. Juan is the biggest attraction in the lightweight division and Campbell knew this. He should fight Juan for whatever cost.

I tried to avoid saying anything like that or being biased. But thats what i view. There isnt anything else for Diaz at the moment.

                    Diaz-soto

Diaz-Campbell is all that is left

I always thought Juan fighting Edner Cherry would be a good stay in shape fight. It be good and the style would fit Cherry. Although he would not win

Campbell wasn't married and he was cleared of the charges.
