Julio Cesar Chavez Jr at it again 02/09/08

against Jose Celaya, in Guanajuato, Mexico

    Jose Celaya's record stands at 31 W (KO 16) L 3

hopefully he fights a real contender in the summer. Chavez gots all the tools to be a champ!! All you idiots that are planning on saying he doesnt fight no one get the f out of here with your bs. Only person fighting real champions at julio's age was mike tyson and fernando vargas. Look at cotto with an amature career including he just bearly started fight somewhat known boxers but yet has faced a legitimate contender. I started this thread for the chavez jr fans not for you dumb ass haters.

And Wilfred Benitez. And Floyd Mayweather. And Meldrick Taylor. And Pipino Cuevas. And Ray Robinson.

I don't mind Chavez Jr. taking it slowly either though. He only had 4 amateur fights or something like that. People don't like that he gets all these TV spots, but blame it on Top Rank for using his name to sell tickets. It ain't his fault that his dad is a legend.

dont let the haters get you down. they complain when chavez fights easier fights early in his career because he never had any amateur experience yet when margarito stepped up to tough fighters early in his career and lost they say hes trash. these people dont really know nothing about this great sport.

and i am glad to see chavez jr. will be back in the ring but i hate that it will be another ppv. he is a very exciting fighter and he will deliver another knockout.

Like I have said a million times, I don't care who a fighter fights as long as he wins the ones that count. People constantly call out Chaves Sr. for fighting "cab drivers" but in reality he fought the best and beat the best. I have no problem with a fighter keeping busy. I personaly think that's a good strategy because we have all seen what happens to a fighter that is very rusty.

It's time for this guy to face a real contender, he's been facing nothing but journeyman his whole career. He's padding his record up just like his daddy did.
