    Joey C

watched the fight again in stunning hd, anyway, what is the deal with his punches. i dont know if he threw one punch that whole night that was intended to hurt kessler. he is a phenomenal boxer and a ***** ass fighter. even floyd threw a couple couple punches that were intended to hurt odl and he is a defense first guy. after watching that closely i think the old racist bernard may have a chance, i hope im wrong cuz i hate bhop now.

Tell that to Kessler at the end of the 8th. The referee got in the way of a stoppage there IMO.

i dunno man. joe hit him behind the head like 5 times that round, he should have lost a point imo. kessler looked fatigued and there was no good punch that "hurt" him that i saw, i watched the last minute of that round 3 times to make sure. i think bernard will find a way to win because he knows joey c cant/wont hurt him. and lederman or whoever did say that he was hurt, but they were trying to hype a good fight to a great fight like they have a tendancy to do.

calzaghe slaps a lot but he mixes in hard punches with his slaps.

he has a very good workrate so he does damage regardless of how much he loads up on his shots.

can you give me an example from the kessler fight of a solid punch as opposed to his barrage of slaps? not trying to be a ****, i like joe but im not feeling his punching style.

It's the accumulation of "slaps" which hurt his opponents not single blows. If you watch his early career fights though you will see his punching power, it was only untill he broke his hands on a regular basis did he not punch as powerful as he can.

Ionno, thats the worse Kessler's face has ever looked. And "Joey Cal" sounds cooler.

yeah i thought he must have had hand problems, its a shame that i havent seen him at all until the kessler fight. i love crafty and skillful fighters. are his hands permanently ****ed, or could he throw a bunch of hard punches and knock old bernard out iyo?

He has more power than Hopkins imo. I don't think he will risk hurting his hands by punching like he can on Hopkins though. He has fought many fights single handed after breaking his hands in the first couple of rounds. As a fighter you really don't want to risk hurting your hands.
