No more superstar's coat tails for Floyd to ride on.

Like i said. Floyd's 2yr departure from the sport is due to the fact that he has no more coat tails to ride off of. He uses his opponents star status, and fan following in order to make it into a megafight. He will let Cotto's stock rise with a few more wins, then take Cotto on, then claim that he (Floyd) was the draw. If Floyd was such a popular fighter who can draw big crowds, how come i have never seen a Floyd fight where the arena was pro-Floyd?

You're willing to see him lose, so you buy you an expensive ticket to the fight or you order the pay-per-views to watch him get the **** beat out of him(I know you do 1 of the 2). Floyd has no choice BUT to play villian/bad guy. Nobody likes him anyway. Fighters like Cotto, Morales, Pac, Barrera could lose 2,3 fights, and still come back and be popular. There will still be a high demand to watch those fighters get in the ring. Once Floyd loses his first fight, he's done! Everyone will get their wish, and there will be no demand to see him fight anymore.
