    Boxing rpi?

cant find one anywhere. think it would be pretty cool to see. for people that dont know, rpi stands for ratings percentage index, it is a formula that ranks teams in basketball and other sports based on their winniing percentage and the winning percentage of their opponenets, combined with other finer points, but those are the basics. dont know how accurate it would be for boxing, but it would at least be interesting because every elite boxer would be connected. for example, hatton fought floyd, floyd fought oscar, who fought hopkins, who fought tarver, who fought... you get the idea. anyway, thoughts?

o and if you want a detailed explanation, you can go to collegerpi.com

I think it pretty hard in boxing because there are some thing you cant measure as in style of fighters/ Some fighter will just make you look like an ass even if you are pretty good fighter.

But is a good idea. In boxrec they rank fighter with point. I dont know how these point is gained or lost but there could anyone care to explain it? Could be similar to your idea.

In many other sport like soccer they dont have that.

no just read it it pretty hard to do it on boxing.

        why?

Because boxing is not like Basketball and other sport that you play twice with a team and you have some home advantage and other stuff which could make it easy to calculate.

e****ally the team you play with are going to be the same every year but in boxing if he is a champion average of 3 time per year and a contender 4 time. and so on. and it pretty hard to rate fighter that way usaing a formula.

A good way to rate a fighter is by p4p standing which is based on opion but most people would have it the same
