    P4P #2? Calzaghe or Pacquiao?

We've all established Floyd is #1 (except delusional people). So who is #2? Many people pick different people but these two are the favourites.

I've given it to Calzaghe, his overall record trumps Pacquiaos and he holds 3 major belts currently while Pacquiao holds none.

Since Joe holds three belts and pretty much cleaned out the SMW division I put him as #2 P4P as well. If Pac beats JMM then Pac probably goes back to #2 in my book.

      #3
      Bernard Hopkins

Seriously either one should be alright.
In Pacman we have a 3-division champ looking to become 4-division champ, a man who cleaned up the SFW division from old legends. Only Marquez is left.

In Calzaghe we have a long-running champion who unified the SMW titles against younger fighters and has consistently beaten solid competition over the years without suffering a loss. Next he looks forward to move up in weight against the ageless legend Bernard Hopkins.

        Agreed

Just until Calzaghe wipes the floor with Hopkins that is.

You always have to keep the next fights in mind, because Pacman has been ranked higher than Calzaghe for a longer time. I believe we can make a more accurate decision when Pac has fought JMM. Then we wait again untill Calzaghe fights Hopkins, and this will keep going.

I'm being unbiased when I say Floyd is light years above Calzaghe in P4P?

Hopkins is 43 man. Joe is #2 but beating Hopkins will add nothing to that. His performance vs Kessler was impressive. Him beating Hopkins will cause me to sigh.

Hopkins is still #4 P4P by Ring Magazine I think and some of his fan boys reckon he's got a claim for #2 P4P, even now.Calzaghe moving up a weight class and fighting Hopkins in his own back yard has got to be worth something.
