Both have different styles and colliding styles. Mayweather is fast with underrated power. Cotto has power with underrated speed. Its an awesome fight and I cant wait to see it. Floyd knows this is the fight fans want to see and He'll eventually give it to us. He's recovering from a few bone bruises and some elbow damage but he'll be back. Looks like cotto will be fighting clottey in march or something. As much as I want cotto to just keep winning and keeping the undefeated record ( which i truly belive he can if he avoids mayweather ) But If I was cotto, I would be relieved if mayweather stayed retired. Cotto wont be Floyd. Cotto isnt a smotherer like hatton ( Before you talk ****, cotto would beat hatton, no doubt in my mind ) and although cotto imo is better than hatton, he doesnt have the style to beat floyd. How did floyd beat hatton, by keeping him at a distance where he could throw the right hand and left hook, floyd also caught hatton coming in many times, but he did the most damage when he was able to put combos together at a short distance . He kept it at a perfect distance. Now cotto's game isnt to come running in like hatton, He stays directly in floyds punching distance and we all know how good of inside fighter is. Now hatton inside fighting but, real inside fighting. Floyd by late stoppage.

A glorious post. Good to see you keepin it real.
2 styles colliding but like i said, PBF beats Cotto on any given night.

but cotto is the only win mayweather can add that will add to his resume imo and im pretty sure that its a vast majority who agree.
I dont agree. People would say "Cotto pff who he beat? 36 year old Mosley? lol Feather fisted Mignagui?"

Cotto is not big enough for Mayweather and Mayweather doesn't have to fight Cotto. Cotto has to fight Mayweather. If i was Mayweather i would take off from boxing and enjoy the good life. He can surely afford it. He's set for life. Cotto is a weaker Hatton who's ducking Williams but wants Money.

This i the world vs Mayweather and they are trying to take his 0 at all cost. Look at the media. The man can say he's retiring NOONE RESPECTS that and they sign him fights till he loses. Cotto was struggling vs 36 year old Mosley wtf can he bring to the table for Mayweather? Mayweather is already a god. He should smarten up and do as he said, retire boxing before boxing retires him. Easier said than done.

Floyd is a glory whore. He won't retire. he's just waiting and hoping Cotto loses. Then he'll handpick someone. But Cotto has to play it smart. Next time he wins on HBO he has to severely insult Floyd - worse than Hatton did after Castillo. Then when Floyd doesn't take the bait even the fools will realize Floyd is ducking COTTO.

But Cotto must INSULT Weaselweather ON HBO after his next win. THIS is IMPERATIVE.

The only way Floyd won't face Cotto is if Cotto faces Oscar is September. Oscar may fight someone else in May while Cotto has his usual June bout and they might match up than. Trust me Floyd, DOES NOT want that bout to happen in September because it may leave him in limbo.

I'll have to see Floyd fight a WW the caliber of Cotto before I believe that this fight will happen. Not too impressed with Mitchell, Baldomir and Judah (coming off a loss.) The 2 ft mancunian JWW doesn't count.
