no one will remember margy's name or resume in 10 years, thats guarenteed. He never fought a credible opponent and WON, when he stepped up, he lost. He has what 5 losses on his record. I know a record doesnt mean much but they really do, especially when you have only a few fights. Zab judah and even carlos baldomir will be much highly remebered than margy. Just facts, if floyd's last fight turned out to be a guy who recently lost his belt, then beat a bum and then floyd gave him a shot and then kicks his ass. How does that make floyd look down the line? It Makes him look like he ducked cotto or williams and settled for the easiest fight, a guy with losses.............Floyds alot smarter than most of the people on forums. He knows what means what to the people.

why???????? because he already has! he has beaten way better fighters than marg. gimme a break! i know u like"TONY" and all, but for god sakes man watch some of his fights and not the highlight reels and u will easily see that he is a very average fighter. if you dont see this than ur either blind, or just a blind hugger!

Cmon it's an easy fight for Floyd. Just take it as his next fight in April for an easy ten million. Floyd deserves an easy defense, Margarito would be the perfect stay busy fight for Floyd where he can keep making money. MOney Mayweather loves money right? why run away to hiatus now?

Disagree on Floyds fanbase. He piggy backed on Oscar and Hatton who have massive fanbases. Floyd has a very small one.

I believe thats another reason to run to MMA. MMA has a huge fanbase now and Floyd can piggy back on that - as Cuban will give him a handpicked MMA opponent.

I'm not a fan of mayweather going to mma but why would fighting margarito be a better idea?
He has fought DLH and beat him. Why would he be afraid of margarito? Now don't tell me you think margarito could beat dlh cuz dlh would clean his clock.

With out hugging floyds balls and thinking unbiased. Ask yourself then answer honestly. How many of floyds last 5 opponets, would Margarito lose too?

whats worse than making fun of a bunch of fighters that a boxer has beaten? answer, making fun of a bunch of fighters that a boxer has lost to. daniel santos, rodney jones, larry dixon, Victor Lozoya. who are these boxers you ask? 4 of the 5 boxers that margarito lost to. this is why mayweather doesn't want to fight him. margarito is a joke. why did he fight golden johnson after fighting williams? why not fight someone in the top 50 atleast.
margarito would lose to dlh, baldo and judah from your list. stop hugging on margrito's balls. you can't say I'm the one who is blind cuz mayweather is a unbeaten talented champ with more belts in more weight divisions than anyone right now. margarito is nothing, so it would take blindness and nuthugging to like him.

It would be pushing it to say 2 (DLH and Judah.) And I don't think DLH could KO Margarito, and if he only lasts 7 rounds, Tony would outpoint him. Tony would have a pretty good chance against Judah as well.

The problem is, Tony doesn't have a belt anymore, and fighting him would do nothing for Floyd at this point. Now if Tony rematches Cintron, then he's back in the picture.

When you put it like that Floyd's resume looks absolutely terrible for someone his fans believe is already an All Time Great. All the top welters would kill those opponents in no time maybe with the exception of old Oscar.

well, this has been obvious for years, so who really cares who wants to see the fight, let arum promote tony to fight a floyd man-i-can doll and i'm sure he'll still look very slow against it, no way in hell he beats floyd, the real life fighter.
