Kermit downplays Money May, can he beat him?

This interview was taken right after Cintron KO of Matthese on 7/14/07....

Interviewer: Mayweather seems to be interested in real big money, do you see that as a fight that can ever materialize and how you think something like that would play out if it ever happens?

Cintron: Uhmm you know it a fight that I think is a little risky for him, you know I think he picking his uhmm his fighters now, I think he's just picking his shots. Uhmm and you know he's fighting uhmm from what I hear he want to fight Ricky Hatton.

Ricky Hatton is a 140 lber you know who comes forward and anybody can I think in my opinion anybody in the welterweight division can beat him. And like I said he's just picking his opponents and uhmmm he doesn't want to take that big risk.

    2 questions:

    1. what do you think of Kermit Cintron

    2. Can he beat Floyd Mayweather Jr?

Kermit is a good fighter, but not the elite of the WW division. I mean Margarito destroyed him and he looked like ass against Feliciano, and it seems now is wanting nothing to do with Paul Williams.

I don't think he would have a chance against Money May with Mayweather boxing his pants off for 12 rounds for an easy UD. Maybe even a Shutout.

He's right about Floyd picking his fighters. I have a hard time seeing him beat Mayweather. Always got an explosive punchers chance, though.

well, isnt that really the only chance anyone would have against mayweather? mayweather has shown that he can pot shot and pick apart just about anyone, so wouldnt it really take someone with 1 punch power to catch him in order to win? I think Pwil would give mayweather a good fight as well, because of his activity level, but on thing mayweather has shown... he does not like getting hit and tenses up when he does.

THis is interesting, and here's why. I see you are a Newb here. I also see this same exact post, word for word, at 3 other boxing forums, posted by a newb... are you just going forum to forum posting the same thing from an interview taken 6 months ago? pretty lame if you ask me.

cintron is a good fighter and anyone can win a fight against anyone on any particulair day, so you never know, like it's been said before on this forum, he's got a punchers chance, and he's got a damn good punch, gotta wait to see happens
