Zab Judah = Best Beginner Currently Active

Zab is just brilliant in the first half of the fight. Against Mayweather, he seemed to be the superior when it came to speed and he was first with the punches. Then he nutchecked PBF and it went downhill from there. He controlled Baldomir for the first couple of rounds, then started punching less. He rocked the **** out of Cotto only to let Cotto execute his predictable gameplan. I wonder what exactly causes Zab to choke so much. Is it mental? Physical? CMON ZAB!

Zab is one of those super tricky, naturally talented fighter that is tough to figure out. Though, once you do, it's all down hill from there for Zab.

The problem with Zab is that he lacks the discipline and the boxing fundamentals.

Maybe the other guys just fought harder on those nights.
Other then Zoo, Zab has never lost complete control and the low blows in the PBFMM fight could have been a mistake or just a part of the game.

If anything is hurting him it might just be the night life.

Overall he was just beat by better fighters on those nights it does not mean they are more skilled or better overall but they were better on that night.

zab was getting outboxed by Floyd. That's why he low blowed.

Well put he's just not consistent enough for 12 rounds. Against Cotto he definitely had his moments, but Cotto just was more consistent. It seems that way for all the big fights he's in. He does good in the beginning and fades down the stretch.

His problem is that he has a great idea for what will work. It's a natural thing for him, most of the time. Once they adjust, he gets discouraged. If he would preverse something for the second half and step on the gas in the 6th or 7th once they move it up, he'd be an even tougher fighter to handle.

Joel couldn't take him to where he needed to be. Zab didn't get the proper mental discipline.

But he still has a chance at redemption.

A fight is won over 12 rounds, not 6.
