Pavlik vs Miranda WAS GOOD

Pavlik is the real deal. At first i thought "ok, they throw another can at miranda this guy looks like the teenager skater next door" but the guy can punch! I surprises people because they don't think kelly is a big puncher but he is. Look at Miranda's face expression when he felt he was going to be overpowered.

It was action filled, but started getting to one sided early. Too bad Miranda was not himself that night or it could have gotten ugly for both guys and a real bloody war. Maybe one day at 168lbs we will get to see it again.

naw, pantera was himself that night, he just got beaten down. i'm a pantera fan and pavlik fan, so i really loved this fight. i recorded it and watch it every once in a while. slugfest from hell, both had great chins, i would love to see a rematch, but i don't think it will happen unless pantera has a title, which i hope he wins one. he deserves it

The action was awsome, but after round 2 the action got very onesided

Yeah it was definitely action packed especially that first round. My favorite part is when Pavlik goes to the wrong corner and then smiles about it with his conerman. I chose Vasquez/Marquez 2 as fight of the year just because it was competitive throughout and was back and forth. After the first round Pavlik pretty much imposed his will and even though Pantera had his moments Pavlik dominated throughout.

Good thread. I enjoyed Pavlik vs. Miranda more than any other fight in 2007.
Much more exciting than any MMA fight you'll ever see IMO.

It was fairly one sided, but Miranda was punching back, and often enough was rocking Kelly, giving the impression that he was in the fight. I thought that Miranda won the 2nd, and the 5th. Kelly won the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 6th.

All three judges actually had Miranda up 3-2 going into the 6th round. I saw it at best 3-2 Pavlik. So it was closer than many of you think until the knockdowns (at least on the scorecards)
