.....If he was leary to attack Briggs and Evander then he should really really be leary to come after Wlad. You do bring up a good point though because they can't possibly believe that he can outbox Wlad. Sultan has a shaky chin IMO and if they decide to go after Wlad they are putting their man at a high risk of getting waxed early. If they take that approach then Sultan will have to get very lucky.
does Sultan Ibragimov have a chance against Klitschko??

Wladimir should be a 20/1 favourite in this fight, no way in this life time Ibragimov beats him. I see Wladimir outboxing him for the first 6 rounds and then finishing him in the 7th or 8th round. Ibragimov got hurt by a 45 year old Holyfield and a 12 round draw with the crappiest HW in History Ray Austin.
Wladimir by TKO 8th Round.

The cold harsh reality is,....Manny knows that coming out hard is Sultan's only chance. Wlad will clutch, grab, and hold until Sultan gets tired enough for Wlad to shove him outside and punish him with the jab. After that, it is all Wlad by the 8th round. Tie him up on the inside, and push him out into range is the plan I would suspect.
With that said, I'm still hoping for a Sultan KO.............

To be fair, Sultan came into the Austin fight overweight and out of shape, he was a career high 232 lbs. Sultan now fights at 220 and his handspeed and stamina are much better. With all that being said, Wlad will dominate the overmatched Ibragimov and win by brutal KO in the 6th or 7th round.Wladimir should be a 20/1 favourite in this fight, no way in this life time Ibragimov beats him. I am starting to have a strange feeling this fight doesn't go the way a lot of people are expecting it to.Comment

not really comparing wk to ali the way you may be thinking. i'm saying both ali and marciano have been dropped before. marciano was lucky as hell to get out of that fight with walcott - 1st fight i believe where he was ko'd in the 13th while ahead comfortably on the cards.Your comparing Wlad to Ali? I appreciate Wladimir and he is the best HW but you need to wait a little bit before you start comparing. Wlad does have a glass chin, and if you debate beyond that that I dont know how to take you seriously, he is a talented fighter and If i had to find one weakness in him it would only be his chin.
i am not going to say wk has a glass chin. we may disagree here. i do think that since wk doesn't get hit flush much, that his chin me seem to be a liability. i do not think it is because he isn't able to take a shot, but more because he doesn't get hit much. i have seen him get hit flush a few times by big hitters and seem to take it like nothing happened. i believe it depends how into the fight he is since tapping his jaw at his height and with his skill is not easy.
if wk is on his game, i would say he stands a chance, at very least, against anybody you could match him with.Comment

Manny expects Ibragimov to come in so that Wlad can smother him
but Ibragimov won't fight that way, he will do what he did against
Briggs, come in and pick his shots moving in and out ...
his power vs Wlad's chin ... he had enough power to keep
Briggs from coming in ... also I think wlad will be overconfident
again and that's when he has lost most his fights ...Comment

sultan was awful against austin,,,but he clearly was in ill shape for that fight. he was 231 lbs which is 10 lbs over his normal weight. I think if he had taken austin more seriously and prepared better he'd have had a much easier time. he wont be 230+ lbs for wald,,,thats for sure. sultan is a silver medalist with damn good skills. I think people are underrating him here. btw,,when did holyfield ever hurt sultan? I never noticed that. anyway,,,I think wald wins by kayo but sultan is a much liver underdog then many think. his speed will give wlad problems until one of his bombs land cleanly. still,,there's always the threat of wlad walking into the southpaw straight left. remember the sanders fight? he totally fought sanders fight by stepping to the right,,,which was right into the left hand. hopefully manny will have him better prepared than wlads former trainor did at the timeWladimir should be a 20/1 favourite in this fight, no way in this life time Ibragimov beats him.
