Paulie bounced back from the Cotto beating by defeating Cherry and N'duo if I remember he nocked N'duo down once didn't he? Both wins by UD. I think he deserves it.

I really didn't think of him as comback fighter of the year. I guess when you think about it he broke his jaw against Cotto and was out for awhile and then came back this year to win a title so I guess he deserves the award, but Vernon Forrest was out of the game for awhile as well and then looked impressive in his two fights this year and also won a title. IMO I thought Forrest deserved it a little more.

Vernon Forrest anyone? He's made a much more improbable comeback.

so nobody think coming off of a 10 year layoff to avenge your only defeat is a little bit more significant and harder to do then what Paulie and Vernon did this year??

I think it is, but take nothin away from Paulie and Vernon, then had great years to

I thought Paulie Malignaggi deserved the award, he came back from that brutal Cotto beating and won 22 straight rounds over Cherry and Ndou, he became the IBF Light Welterweight Champion.

they are both in their 40's and what was the significance of the fight?
I didn't see it but if he was extremely impressive I would probably think twice about it but Cherry and N'duo are some good comp. for where Malignaggi is at right now, and dominating the way he did expecially after getting his cheeck broken by Cotto's head.
