I watched the first 3 rounds of the Abraham/Miranda fight last night and it seemed pretty competitive. Was Miranda really that robbed in the fight? Because the scorecards really weren't that close.

Round 1

Abraham landing jab easily, Abraham left hook lands, Pantera landing
on the arms.. Abraham on the ropes, big right by Abraham
Abraham with another big right, 1 minute left, left hook low from
Pantera. Abraham big combo, landing at will, jab again,
Pantera working to the body, 2 Big left hooks by Arthur Abraham

Clear 10-9 round for Abraham, crowd goes wild...Miranda's punching
technique isn't great is it. Abraham seems happy to just let them
bounce off his guard.

Round 2

Trading jabs. Pantera prowling, trying angles. Pantera lands body
shot. Abraham lands short right. Abraham on ropes again. Abraham
very defensive. Pantera swinging. Abraham offering nothing. 30 secs
left. Nice right from Abraham and combo lands. Abraham backs him
corner and lands on the bell. Bell sounds and both fighters
keep going.

Round for Miranda. 10-9 Abraham gets the better off him in the last few seconds but Miranda had this round.

Round 3

Slow start. Pantera swinging, but not landing. Occássinally low.
Left hook counter by Abraham, Abraham lands 3 big punches.
Another right and Pantera was wobbled. Huge left hook by Abraham

Round 4

Fast exchange, Abraham explodes out. Abraham landing harder.
Pantera getting wilder. Abraham is often on the ropes doing
rope a dope. Nice left from Abraham, Abraham in corner, Jab by
Pantera, Huge left and rights land from Abraham, Huge left
uppercut/hook lands from Abraham. Miranda backing off.
Another left and straight right from Abraham.

10-9 round for Abraham, Pantera has a damn good chin.
Clear round for Abraham.

39-37 for Abraham who seems to be making this personal.

Round 5

Pantera on offensive again. Abraham in corner backing off
Pantera swinging hard and Abraham looks tired, Abraham has a
split lip. Pantera landing often on the beltline and ref doing
nothing. 1 minute left, Clash of heads, and Abraham taking a break.
Ref says intentional head butt and it was very obvious so a point
is deducted from Miranda. They take a Break...

If Abraham manages to win in this condition, that would be impressive.

Round continues

Abraham breaks Miranda with a left hook from hell, Abraham Lands
another Right, Abraham is trying to end this, but he is bleeding too.

10-8 Round for Abraham, Abraham won the round and a point
point was taken off due to the intentional headbutt.

Camera crew is saying that the jaw might be broken of Abraham.

49-45 for Abraham so far.

Round 6

Abraham backing off again, Pantera lands some swinging punches.
Pantera pressuring. Abraham jabs. Ref doing a better job of
separating. Nice uppercut from Pantera. Abraham cannot close his
mouth. Pantera lands a left hook but eats a uppercut on the left.

10-9 Round for Pantera. Nice pressure on the wounded man.

58-54 so far in favour of Abraham


Round 7

Pantera lands little left hook. Pantera lands low and ref takes
a point of him. Pantera lands uppercut, Abraham misses.
Pantera low again. Another point off!!! Ref says you hit him in
the balls but the ref gives Abraham no time. Abraham still bleeding.
1 minute left. Abraham lands a wild right. Abraham looks focussed
now, Nice right from Abraham.

What a round. I gave it to Miranda. but 2 points were deducted.

so it was 9-8 for Abraham

67-62 at the moment.

Round 8

Abraham has a broken jaw and cannot close his mouth, Abraham lands
a big right and big left hook, Abraham breathing hard.
Abraham running and holding now, seems out of gas, Abraham on ropes.
Abraham in shell. Pantera cant crack the defence, Pantera cannot
land. Abraham lands beautiful combo on the last seconds left.

Pantera left eye is almost shut.

Round 9

Pantera lands two shots on the broken jaw of Abraham
Abraham lands big right, Abraham fighting with heart, AA in corner
Abraham jaws are swollen. AA lands huge right which spins Pantera
around. Abraham covered in blood. Pantera still pressuring.
Pantera lands a left. Pantera also looks tired. Another short right
and left from Pantera. Pantera is now in trouble as Abraham lands
two rights on the bell. Panteras eyes are swollen...

Round 10

Pantera pressuring Abraham but his punches are not as hard as before.
Pantera lands a good uppercut. Abraham holding, Pantera lands a good right.
Abraham in trouble!!. Abraham holding. Abraham lands a right.

Ref asks AA if he wants to continue...the guy has balls like g****fruits

Round 11

Wegner is telling Abraham to box more now and not to throw too many
punches, Abraham is running now, Pantera chasing. AA holding and
backing away. Pantera lands low and this time ref gives Abraham time
.Pantera landed Just above his ****. A point is taken away.
Pantera low again, Abraham looks at ref, Another point deducted,
1 minute left. Pantera too tired to break free from clinches.
Abraham trading now, lands a left hook and right jab.

Round for Pantera but a point was deducted due to the Low blow.

9-9 round for Abraham due to the deduction.

Round 12

Abraham backing off and running away. Pantera lands a right
AA holding. Pantera wont make it. Too tired. AA fitter despite
mouth. 1 30 left. AA holding. AA nicely out of corner
AA dodging Pantera swings nicely. 40 seconds. Pantera lands
uppercut. Pantera trying to KO Abraham 10 seoncds left.

You know the deal man..
Miranda dominates the fight overall but gets many point deductions (his fault).
Arthur survives and gets the gift decision.
In the early rounds, before Arthur's jaw was broken, he countered Miranda real well and he was winning rounds. AA has all the right tools to beat Miranda, even knock him out.

Arthur deserves to fight the winner of taylor/pavlik

My thought excatly. Theirs no other better contender at 160.


Plus it would also be a unifacation fight, since Abraham has the IBF belt.

Thanks Parody, so a fairly even fight without the point deductions? I'll watch the rest tonight. Everything I've read or heard before discredits Abraham for being a joke, but I watched the Demers fight and he looked really good, and he looked pretty decent in the first part of the Miranda fight, absorbing most of Edison's punches with his guard. Obviously I have to watch a lot more of him to make any kind of judgement, but I am impressed so far.

i really dont see Abraham beating Pavlik at all. Abraham is not a mover and does not have great defence and that wont be good against a fighter like Pavlik. i see Pavlik backing him up and landing his big right hand at will. i dont think Abraham hits harder than Miranda or Taylor so obviously Pavlik will be able to take his shots all night. this is just a bad styles match up for Abraham. i see an 11th round (at the most) knockout for Pavlik. Pavlik is just a force to be reckoned with.
