Because, weather you like it or not, baseball is a very hard sport, and one of the toughest to be a pro, and to be good at it consistently is very difficult, thats why A-ROD is there.

I think they wanted to put a player from the most popular sport in the world on there just to be fair. It doesn't matter because Kaka is never going to be voted a top athlete on a US poll.

In all honesty I have never played baseball so my opinion in the matter is not especially valid. I did play cricket though, and it definitely draws more on skill than raw athleticism.

I dont like the choices. I cant bring myself to vote for Crosby or Mayweather. What about like Lidstrom and Pavlik. I dont know somebody besides them.
