15 rounds would definitely be great for us fans, but like others have said it's about the safety of the boxers. Boxers careers would be even shorter and after one tough 15 round contest a guy could be shot for the rest of his career. There is gonna be deaths, serious injury, and long term effects on boxers anyways because thats what happens when you get hit in the head a bunch of times, but boxers safety comes first.
Should Boxing reform back to 15 rounds?

I agree pretty much with what most people are saying. I love this sport but even I have to admit that the medical findings of the results of repeated blows to the head is undeniable: Neurological evidence shows that boxing is a dangerous sport, especially for one who partakes in it over a long period of time. Thus, even if a boxer does not show the affects immediately, the damage is being done to their brains.
Plus, in the more immediate sense a move back to 15 rounds would be more dangerous for the boxers because dehydration increases the potential for a concussion. Either way you look at it, this would not be a smart move. *
Unlike what people believe us to be, fans of this great sport are not blood-hungry idiots. We appreciate the technique, drive, and raw power of these competitors and don’t want to see them get seriously hurt.
* In fact, and I know I am in the minority of this opinion, but I would like to see headgear being utilized at the professional level. You would still get great fights (in fact, boxers would probably be even more willing to “mix it up” in the ring) and even knockouts, but the potential for both short and long-term neurological damage would decrease dramaticallyComment
