    Duddy Moves To 3/15, Lee-Eastman on 2/23?

Since the announcement that Oleg Maskaev's defense of the WBC heavyweight title against Sam Peter was moving to Cancun, Mexico on March 8, unbeaten John Duddy (23-0, 17KOs) is planning a move as well. Maskaev-Peter was originally slated to take place at New York's Madison Square Garden on Feb. 2, and Duddy, a big ticket seller on the East Coast, was scheduled to appear on the undercard against Matt Vanda (37-5, 21KOs). at this point, lee would do better against either abraham or pavlik (dont know if he could win against pavlik, but he would do better than duddy). i think lee would school duddy.

The information in this story isnt entirely accurate. Its true that once Maskaev-Peter headed to Mexico, Duddy pulled off the card. However, the March 15th date is not a replacement date but has been in the plans all along. Team Duddy is very close to announcing a new date in Feb. So essentially Duddy will still have a Feb and March U.S. date, which was the plan all along. Unless, of course, the Feb date they choose ends up being a very high profile NY card that is too close to the March 15th date which in that case the March date will be canceled all together.
