And I'm not trying to diss Magarito. I think he is a tough out for ANYBODY at welter. But he needs more then a lopsided win over Golden Johnson to get his name back in the mix. I would have liked to see a PWILL vs Margarito rematch, but it's not in the cards at this time. I don't know the whole inside details behind these deals, but I think a Cotto vs. Margarito fight would be great. But I think Cotto is to tied up with fighting Mayweather. Which I think is the next fight for Cotto. Now that Cotto has a big pelt on his belt, the money is there. Mayweather, if the Money May moniker really fits, will take the Cotto fight.
It's not so much as Magarito being a bad fighter. He just isn't much of a draw. There are great matchups to be made at welter. I think Margarito will get a big fight soon. It just not be for the mega numbers his fans want to see.
Besides Cotto, Hatton, and Delahoya who has a bigger fan base then Margarito at welterweight that floyd will be happy with?

I don't know, you tell me? Does it really matter? Margarito blew his chance when he lost to PWILL. Which isn't that bad of a loss. But just because he is the mythical "most feared welterweight" in some peoples eyes here, does not mean jack. Clottey and Cintron? You need bigger wins then that to be a name at welter. He had a shot against PWILL to leave no doubt. But it didn't happen. Not Mayweathers problem.

Oscar himself said that beating Floyd would be his greatest victory (Episode 1 Delahoya/Mayweather 24/7). So maybe you know more than Oscar

So are you saying that Williams biggest win is the one over Margarito?

In your eyes, since Margarito is such a billy badass, shoudn't you ask YOURSELF that question?

I don't think he even brings up Mayweather's name anymore. But Margarito will always be linked to Mayweather because Mayweather ducked him. He was a top welterweight before he ever challenged Mayweather and he is still a top welterweight after being ducking by Mayweather.

                      Ducked him my arse.
Margarito tried to make a **** load of money without fighting anyone of note to be deemed worthy of a shot at Floyd and the big payday it would bring.
That's probably more a strategy of his promoter than anything. Lets be honest if he lost to Floyd he would still make a truck load of money and his reputation wouldn't be affected much at all. But if he somehow won then he has big money guaranteed. However he brought nothing to the table as far as the fight went. His resume is pretty poor when you study it.
IMO Williams, Floyd, Cotto & Mosely are all better than Margarito.
