So you're saying PBF needed DLH for his current success. What about the DLH fight would've helped PBF get fans? Winning in a fairly boring manner against a well liked fighter? I don't think so. The difference is that while Floyd was calling for the Oscar fight, he was winning belts in 4 divisions and solidifying his status as the best fighter in the world. Margarito is beating guys like Golden Johnson, Joshua Clottey and Manuel Gomez then wondering why none of the big name fighters give a **** about fighting him. This is why Miguel Cotto at least gets respect from boxing fans. He didn't beat a few bums then start screaming that nobody would fight him, he proved he belonged.

He had already medaled in the olympics & went on to beat Hernandez, Manfredy, Diego, Castillo twice, & Mitchell. He had headlined PPVs with Gatti, Judah, & Baldomir also. Oscar wanted a fight with Floyd because it would be his greatest victory & it was the biggest fight that could be made in the sport. So what you are saying has no logic.

With the exception of ODLH himself, Floyd was/is easily the 2nd bigget draw in all of boxing. Cotto, in terms of excitement, might be able to make headway if he continues to win impressively and Floyd slows down. Floyd all ready was the most recognized boxer of the time w/ the exception of ODLH.

Floyd Mayweather received a bronze medal in the 96 olympics. He went on to win world titles in several divisions beating such great champions as Genaro Hernandez, Diego, Castillo twice, Oscar, & Ricky Hatton to name some. He went out & earned his title as worlds best boxer. Why is it that fighters like Margarito with 5 losses & no great accomplishments in his career dont go out & earn their own fame & recognition? Instead they keep Floyds name coming out of their mouth to try & get some attention. A real fighter will carve out his own greatness without crying for another fighter whos already HOF to fight them.

Because if he could finally get Mayweather frustrated enough that he decides to fight him it would be a huge fight for Margarito, big money, heaps of exposure and if he some how managed to beat him or went the distance it would really get his name on peoples lips and could lead to a re match.

Who was Winky Wright and where were his big pay days before beating Mosley and Trinidad? The list goes on and on. Why does everyone including PBF want to face ODLH? The answer is obvious.

You keep saying that nobody wanted to fight Margarito like thats true. Why don't you state the facts. No BIG NAME FIGHTER wanted to fight Margarito. And that was because nobody in the boxing world gave a **** about some random brawler who nobody had heard of. When he started to build his name up (solely off of Floyd Mayweather's name) there were 11 fighters who publically called him out. When he eventually fought one of them, HE LOST.
