Also, this whole thing makes me laugh even more thinking about it.

So you're saying PBF needed DLH for his current success. What about the DLH fight would've helped PBF get fans? Winning in a fairly boring manner against a well liked fighter? I don't think so. Getting his name out there? It's not like pbf-dlh did 100million ppv buys so everybody in American saw the fight.

While the ODLH fight might've gotten PBF a little more recognition from the general public, it is hardly enough to make it sound like PBF needed ODLH for ****.

Feel free to try to insult me and insinuate my replies aren't well thought out. You keep claiming that Mayweather is well known because of the ODLH fight though.

The difference is that while Floyd was calling for the Oscar fight, he was winning belts in 4 divisions and solidifying his status as the best fighter in the world. Margarito is beating guys like Golden Johnson, Joshua Clottey and Manuel Gomez then wondering why none of the big name fighters give a **** about fighting him. This is why Miguel Cotto at least gets respect from boxing fans. He didn't beat a few bums then start screaming that nobody would fight him, he proved he belonged.

Oscar wanted a fight with Floyd because it would be his greatest victory & it was the biggest fight that could be made in the sport. So what you are saying has no logic.
i didn't see this the first time, and you are wrong it wouldn't be his greatest win

What elite fighter did Mayweather beat to fight the best in Genaro Hernandez?

Big differnce is nobody wanted to fight Margarito too risky what about this can't you understand?

Floyd all ready was the most recognized boxer of the time w/ the exception of ODLH.

Don't try to feed me some bull **** about Floyd needing Oscar. Oscar might've been #1, but Floyd most definitely was #2.... maybe #3 at the lowest.
Remember all those times you hated on nuthuggers, well you turned into one. Man, im lmao if you really belive what you wrote.

He went out & earned his title as worlds best boxer. Why is it that fighters like Margarito with 5 losses & no great accomplishments in his career dont go out & earn their own fame & recognition? Instead they keep Floyds name coming out of their mouth to try & get some attention. A real fighter will carve out his own greatness without crying for another fighter whos already HOF to fight them.
Because if he could finally get Mayweather frustrated enough that he decides to fight him it would be a huge fight for Margarito, big money, heaps of exposure and if he some how managed to beat him or went the distance it would really get his name on peoples lips and could lead to a re match.

Who was a bigger draw for PPV #'s than Mayweather, other than ODLH?

This is how stars are made by challenging well known opponents and beating them. Who was Hopkins before he defeated Trinidad? Who was Winky Wright and where were his big pay days before beating Mosley and Trinidad? The list goes on and on. Why does everyone including PBF want to face ODLH? The answer is obvious.

(Golden Johnson doesnt count)
The only thing small about floyd is.....you can fisnish the sentence. Floyd is a welterweight, the guy ****en went up in weight, he CHOSE to go up in weight why the **** should i give a **** ass if he is small or if he can't fight? I don't give a ****, he is at welterweight and if King Kong is at welterweight and the number one contender or people want to see him fight Mayweather then Mayweather and you better stop talkign **** about how small Maywether is. The guy ****en proved himself against an old Delahoya thats enough to belive he can fight anybody right? So stop being childish and worring about a grown man!

Hear winkys excuse why he didn't fight Margarito!

You keep saying that nobody wanted to fight Margarito like thats true. Why don't you state the facts. No BIG NAME FIGHTER wanted to fight Margarito. And that was because nobody in the boxing world gave a **** about some random brawler who nobody had heard of. When he started to build his name up (solely off of Floyd Mayweather's name) there were 11 fighters who publically called him out. When he eventually fought one of them, HE LOST.
