Margarito is back down to B level, he has nothing to offer so he has to work his way back up. There is no reason for Cotto to fight Margarito because he has no belt, no crazy money, and quite simply PW already tapped it. There is no reason for Arum to have them fight each other because one of his assets is sure to gain a career changing loss.

williams needs to be a man and give margarito the same opportunity that margarito gave him. dont be a coward.
obviously a margarito nuthugger who is blind. ok listen, i am a fan of margarito but, he isn't as good as you think he is. williams is working his way up the ladder so, a rematch with margarito would keep him back. maybe after he gets his title shot, he gives maragrito a rematch. but till than, he shouldn't cuz he has already fought him.

The same reason Margarito didn't give Joshua Clottey a rematch when he actually deserved one.

Whats funny is that nobody booed in New York where you think they'd be against Margarito. Unlike when Williams was announced the winner in LA.

Williams is just protecting his title, its plain and commen sense.

Actually, it's not. Why wouldn't they boo Williams in LA.. Full of Mexicans. Who WANT Margarito to win. They wouldn't boo in NY, because it's not really overrun by Mexicans or Clottey fans. It was full of Puerto Rican fans. Huge difference. Also, no one thought that Margarito LOST, they think he was losing until Joshua injured his hand. But, that had nothing to do with it, right? Margarito always comes on late and woulda got to him He's unbeatable, everyone is afraid of him.. blah blah blah...

Why won't Paul Williams give Margarito a rematch?

1.) Paul Williams is champion and could fight other champions; as he was going to tackle Kermit Cintron- a much, much better fight than a Margarito rematch.

2.) Paul Williams can make more money fighting someone else.

3.) Fans of Paul, like me, would rather see him fight other people.

4.) Williams can more easily legitimize himself by beating other top welterweights...not the same guy over and over.

5.) The second fight would be very similar to the first. In other words; utterly pointless.
