A lot of money to be made on boxing

As boxing fans, we know a fair bit about boxing. A lot of you know a lot more than me, im the first to admit that.

But i bet on boxing. And i make a bit from it. I bet little amounts but i always seem to win 80% of the time.

(I don't bet money like i do points here, no way i was backing holyfield with real money lol).

For boxing, the odds are quite generous. I mean often the guy who is slightly not favoured, is paying $3 head to head. And hes less of an ******** than that footy team paying $2 head to head.

So in boxing small ********s are given really good odds. And the favourites often are given prety good odds aswell like $1.70 for Calzaghe and $1.70 for Danny green. I bet on both of them and won both.

So there is money to be made from it. I don't put a lot of money on the line. But i enjoy winning.

boxing is the easiest sport to win in betting, the problem is that there just arent enough predictable fights. but a lot of title fights are very easy to predict and you can sometimes get odds that make it worth while. example, floyd hatton, most knowledgable boxing guys knew hatton didnt have more than a 10% chance, yet he was only a 2 to 1 dog. the pavlik fight should have pretty good odds and i see a tko for pavlik in around 8 rounds.

You'll find Damian500, Weepaul myself and some others also bet quite regularly but at differring amounts. Betting real money is good I think because it forces you to truly evaluate both fighters and play devils advocate even if its your favorite fighter. You'll rarely see a "REGULAR" bettor be a nutthuggeror haters. Nutthugging/hatting = lose your money quickly.

                Im in the same boat.

                ----------------

If you have extra cash then betting is good, but boxing is too unpredicable at times that its too risky to put your whole check on the line.

I'm sure if fans started to bet for real money, they would definitely start betting with their heads, not their hearts..
