    Omar Chavez (the other son)

Here he is in his 5th fight. I never heard of Veracruz, probably has a ****ty record, some *******s would call him a cab driver but what hell of a fight he gave Omar.

      Not bad...

His composure while under pressure is a good indicator of the good training he's had under the watchful eye of his dad.

      Way to represent.

Looking forward to watching him in bigger fights.

If he displays the arsenal of skills his dad had in the ring, he'll be a top contender soon. I can already see some similarities.

and he won a split decision over a 0-8-2 fighter, just wondering if it was a close fight or boxrec ****ed up?

It does look like this kid can box though

Mexicans usually skip their amateur careers and go straight to the pro's. fight about 15-20 bums and they call it an amateur career then they move on to trying to make real fights. his skills are probably still at a very early age and need time to develop. even the best pros have some trouble when amateur.
