Theres nothing wronge with testing a potential fighter if its done properly and with certain guidelines to test a protential fighters ability. Its been done for centuries and more often then not its the only real way to determine a persons potential. Dude needs to stop crying about 30 day trial period. If it was the Marines your ass would quit in 2 weeks.
I hope your machoness carries over into the gym where it counts

nah I'll be honest I'm no badass, I get out boxed all the time. Thats why I go to become better. However I don't go to a traditional boxing gym its a MMA gym and the boxing trainer there gets swarmed with people that want to go to the Ams. I go because I love to be fit, and I like the physical exertion. Honestly if all you want is a couple of fights I'd keep that to yourself and don't tell him. I'm sorry I come across like a prick but it just seems like you haven't been going very long. Then because you've been told that you have to work hard and put in the time you cop an excuse. Notice how most of the guys here that train haven't responded? You say that you pay to go to the gym but do you pay for personal time with the trainer? How long have you been going? How many hours a day do you go? Do you get personal time with the trainer at all? At my gym the trainer is always willing to give advice and show you where your going wronge. Sundays is sparring days, we'll strap on the gloves and go in and **** for a couple of rounds. Have you done any sparring at all? If you have how did it go? Did you guys just go in and try to destroy each other or was it used as a learning tool to teach you and train you? I've been to gyms wheres its all about being macho and braggin about who you beat in sparring and ****, I didn't like the atmosphere. When we spar its full speed but without much pop, its to develope technique not to knock the other guy out. It still stings but not enough to discourage you from coming back.
