    Punisher vs. Quintana

All I can say is wow "Does Quintana have a death wish?" Don't get me wrong I like Carlos but really the Punisher? I def. have to go with Paul on this one hands down mouth shut. Unless Carlos had a really off night with Cotto, and Paul was just lucky with Margarito this is easily a mismatch. I like the way Team Punisher thinks though, if Paul handles Quintana just as easily as Cotto did or better what better way to say hey Cotto give me a shot at the number one spot (cause Mayweather is semi retired). If its as people believe that Cotto is ducking williams ( I don't see how with only one really well named opponent on his record) what better way to make it happen. If afterwards he still can't get a shot, then he could always take on Judah after he beats Margarito. This will only make Paul better and give him time to further hone his skill. Making the Paul "The Punisher" Williams vs. Miguel Cotto fight a mega-fight for the end of '08.

For a possible fight with Cotto I'm having a hard time deciding who's gonna be the victor. Possibly cause its really hard to pick a winner with both fighters being as good as they are. Paul has the natural advantage with Height and Reach but I don't think he has the power to keep cotto off of him. Cotto's excellent at cutting off the ring but how close can he really get with those telephone pole arms of Paul. If Cotto tags that body how will Paul stand up to the punishment? He's not very thick and he's got lean muscles will his ribs be able to handle the punishment? Time will tell but I like this fight and would love to see it. Pauls got quick hands and an insane work ethic, foot movements decent but he's there to be tagged to the body. I'm gonna have to go with Cotto, he's the proven fighter as of this date. Pauls win against Margarito was excellent, and a few more wins will definately put him in contention hands down.

Paul should win this one by activity and his freakin long ass arms but make no mistake, Carlos is no easy fight. He's quick, has decent pop, and pretty good movement. The main reason he lost to Cotto, as most folks do, is Cotto's speed is very deceiving. Cotto was a wizard in that fight then the power took it's toll.
Paul wins a UD 115-113 against Quintana.

Good post. First time i've heard Cotto is ducking Williams thou. I don't see Margarito really pushing for a rematch against Williams, not sure if he's happy with the outcome of their fight or what, that says a lot about Williams. Cotto vs Williams should be a great fight, I hope it happens in 08, I dont think either fighter has many fights left at WW.

this is a easy win for williams

to tall can fight going backwards throwing pity pat punches and do it on the inside as well.

i cant see anyway quintana can win this fight

but im sure quintana going to come to fight he hasnt done much in his career beside beat a unproven prospect and is yet to beat a welter in the top ten

so im sure hes happy to get a title shot even if it comes against williams a welter that nobody is calling out (floyd, cotto)

Paul should win this, but I think that Quintana is the best "boxer" that Paul has faced so far...Let's see what happens.

PS: Paul said in an interview with endi.com that he wants Cotto after Quintana...

I just don't like the Cotto fight for Paul so soon at 147, I think he should wait for cotto to move up to 154 and then take a fight with Cotto. At 154 I think Paul will be a unstoppable beast. Not that he's shown any weakness at 147 I just believe he'll be more solid at 154, and he won't be in the division where Cotto has shown dominance. I certainly respect Paul for wanting to fight the best, and a fight with Cotto will definately put him in the realms of super stardom if he wins. However I just don't see it being so easy for him at 147 as alot of people believe it to be. I have to say with the risk of being flamed by the haters, that Cotto will beat Williams at 147. @ 154 Williams will have the extra weight and strength to keep Cotto at the end of those long arms and pull off what the boxing public would believe is an upset.

More than likely I'm biased cause I am a Cotto fan, but please if you see the weakness in my logic point it out.

Quintana will be game make no mistake about it, and if he took a lesson from the Cotto fight even more so. However I just think that Williams won't have as hard a time with Quintana as he did with Margarito. I'll be putting my money on Paul for this fight. If Quintana pulls off the upset I'll be seriously surprised but hey I was shocked to **** when Buster beat Tyson so it won't be the first time.

I picked PW to win this fight, duh!!! Still, I don't see an "easy KO" here. Quintana fights ortho and southpaw. PW will have some technical difficulties to come out with a KO. If he took 10 rounds with Mathesse, Quintana should go toe to toe for 12 rounds. The Punisher by UD/SD, but no KO.
