Which fighter would you revive to compete today?

If you could revive (bring back to life) or restore (return to prime) only one fighter to see him compete against today's best, who would it be and why?

There are so many, but I'll start it off by choosing "Iron" Mike. The heavyweight division is so sorry that I would love to see a prime Tyson storm the scene and clean out all of the garbage. There hasn't been real excitement in this division in years and a prime Tyson would definitely generate a buzz.

Then again, I think I might prefer to bring back Tyson to a different era in the future when hopefully there will be some real talent at heavyweight. Then we could better gauge his greatness. Not much to be revealed by watching him clear out another bunch of bums.

      I'm with this guy.

To be different, though. Willie Pep.

Or, technically.. I'd revive Kostya Tszyu in his prime. So me and Wiley could settle our argument. Once and for all.

I just can't pick one fighter it's too hard to choose.

I'd just like a time machine so I could bring back every great fighter from the past a year or two before there prime and let them all train with modern trainers and techniques and then have a unifcation tournament in every division to see who really was the greatest.

Yeah, I'd like to see for myself how good Willie Pep really was, especially since he's from my home state. I would love to have seen him match up with some of today's featherweights.

I met Mr. Pep once at the IBHOF back in '92. I could be wrong about the year, but it was the year that Marvin Hagler was inducted. I have to say that of all the fighters there, Willie Pep came across as the most arrogant. It shocked me because I figured that he would be nice and humble since he was in his 70's or 80's by that point. He was definitely a draw at the memorabilia and autograph signing show, but he really seemed to think that the crowd was there for him instead of Hagler.
