One's a Brit... the other's an American.
Ther fighting styles are **** all alike.. but Calzaghe's a BRIT, right? So that's, like... the OTHER. It's... not American. So what this means is.... his fight will mirror a fight with another Brit in it. It must do, surely? Cos I'm an American and can only see comparisons with nationalistic borders all the time. In fact, I've only see three fights with a Brit in them.
Maybe Calzaghe will be like Lennox Lewis vs. Oliver McCall? Lewis was a Brit who got KO'd in two... will that happen, do you think? Hopkins will KO him in two, perhaps?
Or maybe... it'll be like Naseem Hamed vs. Kevin Kelley... only Calzaghe won't get back up with that glass chin of his. Hamed's a Brit... Calzaghe's a Brit... so that's another thing in common.
I find it hard to discuss British fighters on any level other than they're... you know... BRITS.
Tell me some other British boxers (cos they're not often on HBO and I don't like to do any research to non-US channels) and I'll compare them to Calzaghe.
How about Calzaghe vs. Hopkins being like Clinton Woods vs. Roy Jones or something? Clinton's a Brit, right?
