      Settle down, Tater.

Wrong on two counts: Hatton was knocked out and there were three one sided rounds but by describing it as a "beatdown" you're conjuring images of Arturo Gatti standing still without being able to let loose a single punch all the while Floyd is landing at will. You know that this wasn't the case in the Hatton fight hence your assertion that you witnessed a "beatdown" is wholly dishonest.

Secondly using the term "excuses" is also dishonest. When a sportsman has a camera thrust into his face and is asked to explain his loss then he's usually expected to come up with more than "I dunno". That's why hatton has given the reasons he has, that's why Billy Graham has given the reasons he has. As for the fans' suggestions of one sided refereeing and questionable scorecards, if we're only permitted to debate if our position concurs with your own then it isn't debate, it's onanism.

          Seriously?

I must of missed it. Was it a joke thread or was it actually people taking the comment seriously?

I did recall seeing someone start a topic earnestly criticising Hatton for being a bad sport and specifically centering on the "fluke" comment. I'm not motivated enough to find the link though.

              haha, I like taters.

People taking the 'fluke' comment seriously really does something to my blood pressure. Maybe the guy (Stackmo)wasn't serious when he said it, but anyone by now who doesn't realise what Hatton meant, after the countless pointless debates needs a bottle of cream soda and some ice-cream wafers.

That's crazy. I could understand if someone was having fun, a bit of teasing, then it would be funny, but if it was serious, that is sad and the person doesn't understand humor. Must be a Dan Cook fan.

Thanks, I didn't think he would cry over that, ususally if you do it would be right after when your really emotionally very up or down not that much after i.e. PBF, after the wins versus Gatti-Hatton, Freitas and even Corrales.

Either way I dont see that as a negative or positive, I've seen it too many times but tough as nails guys when I competed in HS and College. The whole competiting thing is a large emotional investment so at the very end Cities/States/Nationals all the excess emotion be it joy or dissappointment has to be released and it at times manifest itself in teas.

Don't forget that a man whose job is beating the **** out of people is entitled to cry without having his masculinity questioned.
