people seem to forget that cortez kept breaking the fight up when hatton came close, and thats why hatton couldn't land much because of his small arms.
RICKY HATTON: "I can't stop crying."

Hatton went too inside. As a result he couldn't get leverage for his punches. The result had little to do with Joe Cortez.Comment

I have a screen grab showing how it missed. Floyd stumbled, it was never a legit punch.Comment

Hmmm...
But after the usual break ups in the beginning, he let them fight their fight until the obvious conclusion.
I'm pretty sure much more people would be complaining about Cotez's "unfair" and "biased" handling of the fight enough to warrant an official investigation into the whole affair. The type that would get the top officials scrambling to acquiesce to the demands of Team Hatton and a majority of the boxing public.
Apparently, that hasn't been the case, nor will it be anytime in the near future.Comment

Hmmm...?
Even in slo-mo you can see it didn't connect solidly.
Floyd was off balance by the time Ricky threw that punch.Last edited by MindBat; 12-21-2007, 07:56 PM.Comment

Ricky didn't catch him, I got the fight on HD too, watched it a dozen times. Dude never troubled Floyd.Comment

TONY... IT IS IN YOUR SIG. THE PUNCH SLIDES BY THE RIGHT SIDE OF FLOYD'S FACE. FLOY'D HEAD NEVER MOVES. YOU SEE THEIR FEET TANGLE, AND FLOYD STUMBLES BACKWARDS.Comment
