I'm a Calzaghe fan obviously but I think it's wrong to rule out Hopkins already. In his old age he may of become slower but he is craftier now than he was before and power is one of the last things you lose.His last two fights have been against southpaws so that wont effect him much.
I can see Hopkins being a potential threat to Calzaghe, less so than Kessler was but in a different way. Kessler could match Calzaghe in terms of stamina (near enough) and boxing skill whilst Hopkins has more ring smarts and will foul as much as possible to throw Calzaghe off his game.I can see a 117-111 or a 118-110, maybe closer if Calzaghe gets fustrated in the ring but really, you can't rule out a former Middleweight champion with 20 defences of his crown and the current LH ring champion out of it before it starts.

But this is Joe Calzaghe we are talking about here, Hopkins is outclassed and he knows it.
