i think the fight against pavlik was an entertaining one and taylor showed that he can punch a little. i thought watching taylor fight was boring, but after the fight against kelly iīm looking forward to taylors next fights. so probably taylorīs career isnīt over but i donīt think heīll get to fight calzaghe even if he beats pavlik. calzaghe is "in his own zone", way too good and taylor has to work on his boxing skills to get close to where joe is right now.

why else should they be called champions? they´re champions _because_ they recover.

he shouldnt have fought pavlik to begin with, he hadnt proved hisself to the point where it would look like ducking if he moved up to fight calzaghe or b-hop, and if he wins, it still wont repair it yet, it'll take a few good wins, but if he gets ko'd, then his buzz will be gone forever

I thoroughly believe Taylor cares about nothing other than beating Pavlik. I believe the hunger in him is back. He doesn't care about the weight, the pay, the venue he just wants to fight and beat Kelly Pavlik. If he does his career is back on the fast track while Kelly will still have all his belts.

That was an incredibly ignorant statement.

Taylor made a good decision in fighting Pavlik, Calzaghe( Frank warren) was offering dumb deals for Taylor to come to Wales and am glad he refuse all those silly offers to fight Pavlik, Even though he was KO'ed he went up in my estimate because people were begining to question taylor at that point.

Theres no denying Taylor is a ballsy man, he ducks no one but after his loss to Pavlik his career looks really bleak. While before he was happy to knock back decent offers from Calzaghe the other week he was literally begging to fight him at SMW. it's a shame what has happened to him really.
The question is, if Taylor beats Pavlik convincingly can he repair his resume? Can he fight Calzaghe after he is done bashing up on Snaggletooth and get a decent split of the income? or do you think he will have to beat Pavlik for a second time?
Jermain would lose to Calzaghe. I dont even think he will beat Pavlik in the rematch so his options is limited. he should be around the Lacy/Miranda/Kessler group who are trying to rebuild thier careers. he should fight a few bums to get his head straight before trying to get a big fight with one the elites.

Oscar's career wasn't bleak because lost to Trinidad.

Mosley's career wasn't bleak because he lost to Vernon Forrest (twice) and Winky Wright (twice).

Ricky's career isn't bleak because he lost to Mayweather.

Darchinyan's career isn't bleak becaue he lost to Donaire.

And the list goes on and on. Fighters loose their 0s all the time. It doesn't mean their careers are over. Even if Taylor loses to Pavlik for the second time, he still will have a very good career ahead of him.
