No, not really. I do however think there is a difference between what is said before a fight and what is said after it.Comment

So, if there's no difference in HOW you proclaim your confidence, why did Ricky spend three months telling the world that Floyd was disrespecting him and taking him lightly?Comment

There's a difference between confidence and conceit but I don't think Hatton believed Mayweather was taking him lightly and I don't think Mayweather believed Hatton was a nobody.Comment

Hmmm...
Realistically, there isn’t much to change about him. In fact, he has improved his game since he started his boxing career.
He’s been successful thus far, and is the best at what he does.
He's got the whole package, IMO.

Hit the heavy bag a little more with more conviction......not that pitty pat stuff. Improve his body punching.
The body punches he did to Hatton in the 8th round (i think)......he could have done alot more of that but didn't. He could have had Ricky out of there much earlier had he done that. But I don't think he really trains for that.Comment

At the gym, I'm pretty sure he works on sharpening all his tools to take care of business when it's showtime. And due to his injury-prone hands, he's probably even more cautious while training.Hit the heavy bag a little more with more conviction......not that pitty pat stuff. Improve his body punching.

His body punching, from what I've noticed, isn't really emphasized until his opponent is weak or at the right moments in a fight. He did target Ricky's body with the jab a few times.
I do agree he could've taken Hatton out much sooner.
