Valero needs to build a fan base here in the U.S. before they put him in there with PacMan. Pac will KO him, he has better head movement and Valero takes to many shots.

I remember that Edgar! Valero was one of the possible boxers Arum named to fight manny. The other boxers on the list were Sotto ( the guy who KO'ed pac's brother), the guy who stole JMM's belt (JMM, should stayed in the US and fought Manny,JMHO) and there were more. This happened during the time DLH and Top Rank were suing each other.

That he had many contacts there, and has already discussed it with the hotel owner who's a friend of his. Surely boxing memory isn't THAT short???? Doesn't SOMEONE recall this????

i can see what arum's saying to be honest. hardly anyone from the west even knows who edwin valero is apart from us hardcore boxing fans. i mean how would he feel spending years building pac man upto superstar status for him to get KTFO by a relative unknown. it makes no economic sense and represents more danger than reward.

Arum is doing the same thing floyd is doing ducking young tough opponents for PAC MAN..... He made the fight with solis.. and i never even heard of that guy. He was just some one with a good looking record that arum knew PAC coul beat. I think he's scared of valero. (he beat OLD BARRERA---A NOBODY SOLIS--- OLD MORALES TWICE--- A CHUMP LARIOS and LUCERO) buuuttt he lost to a young morales in his prime. PAC needs to stop building his hype and fight a young champ..
