Hell, Khan's been criticised for being protected and he's fought much more dangerous opponents than that and won belts (well, a belt, but it's a decent one).

(9-2) for a last minute opponent that took the fight on one weeks notice (Dan Wallace) is not all that bad. The guy recently gave Walter Wright of The Contender a real good fight on ESPN and lost by decision.

VANES was originally scheduled to fight Elco "The Animal" Garcia (19-6, 9KOs) but Garcia didn't come through with his immigration papers... so they say.

anyhow.. there will be a biggg step up in 2008 for Martirosyan

Tye Fields is pretty dreadful to watch

he was actually in the main event on the last Clottey fight on Versus.

the bad thing about Tye Fields from what I saw, is that it took him a good 7 rounds, to knock out a guy who wasn't even punching back really

hopefully this opponent can keep it a bit more competitive.

dunno anything really about Shamone Alverez, have seen him on FNF a while ago .. dunno if he's seasoned enough to take Clottey. should be a good bout though.
