Enzo Maccarinelli-David Haye Bout Falls Apart

A possible unification between UK rivals Enzo Maccarinelli (28-1, 21KOs) and David Haye (20-1, 19KOs) is not going to happen in the near future. The two fighters can't seem to agree on the weight. Macca, the WBO cruiserweight champion, wants the fight at cruiserweight. Haye, holding the WBA and WBC cruiser titles, is having difficulties making the 200-pound weight limit and wants an above the weight catch-weight. If they fight takes place above the weight, none of the three titles will be on the line. [details]

This fight was never going to happen. Their careers is going in two totally different directions.

It'll be interesting to see who Haye is going to be fighting next. He's building it up to be someone seriously highly ranked.

I know he walks around at just over 200, but I'd say it's virtually impossible for him to go down to 175.

I think he can, I heard he walks around inside the cruiserweight level, but he may just be a fitness freak nd his weight may not really fluctuate, after haye leaves theres not too many fighters in the division that are going to generate much interest, unless hes happy beating lesser opponents a change of weight may be needed, he did say he one day wants to go to hevyweight but not yet which i suppose is understandable.

Sucks this fight can't happen, Haye's one of my up and coming favorite fighters, but he's just a pure born machine who can't keep shedding pure muscle, or else he'll have a Jones-Tarver I like performance.
