The mismatch: Calzaghe is simply to good for Hopkins

Hopkins vs Calzaghe is a mismatch. Calzaghe throws thousands of punches a fight. Hes quick and is at his peak as seen by his Kessler display. Popkins is old, ageing. I seriously can't see this fight being close.

I think its going to be a wide UD. with Hopkins pride getting him in the way of being KO'D. But still loosing nearly every round.

I can see Hopkins landing a lot of lead right hands and a lot of counter right hands, and taking Calzaghe out, personally.

But it is a joke of a fight, pointless, they'll be approaching 37 and 44 respectively FFS

Yeh true. But when comparing last performances. Calzaghe was impressive against Kessler. Hopkins was not impressive against Winky.

I think Calzaghe will win comfortably but I won't call it a mismatch. I learned to never count Hopkins out.

No that's called Calzaghe slapping. But yeah, still .. I see Calzaghe getting the UD. something like 117-111. But, I'd never see it as a mismatch

I can see JC winning but not a mismatch at all. History tells us Hopkins dont get beat easily and look at against Tarver. It should of happened years ago. And they should have fought each other at least twice by now. It never happened but it could now. Better late than never.

You might be right, but remember that Winky Wright threw over 1,000 punches his fight prior to Hopkins. His entire game plan was to "out-work" hopkins and throw 80-100 punches per round. Obviously that didn't happen. Hopkins is a master at taking control of the fight and more importantly, taking his opponents game plan away from them.

Not saying Calzaghe wont beat b-hop, i'm just sayin it's easier said then done to out work hopkins in the ring, even at his current retirement age.

No offense, but that's a poor assessment. Noone has ever looked impressive against Winky.
