I think he'll do much better.

He was fighting like **** under Emanuel Steward(That's not to say that Steward is a bad trainer)and actually regressed compared to the first two Hopkins fights IMO

Jermain is a good boxer and if he can go back to what he was this fight will be a lot more competitive, although it might run the risk of being a little more dull. Jermain used to be great at circling and controlling the fight with his unusually effective jab. Pavlik will be just as motivated as ever and isn't a person that underestimates his opponents.

I'm not betting on a winner and I think that Pavlik will have to chase him more to get that KO. If Taylor is succesful at boxing rather than brawling he might score a decision or very late stoppage if he manages to frustrate Pavlik.
Very good observations but I DO think the first fight was very competitive.

Anyone who does not give Taylor a chance in this fight, did not pay attention to the first fight.
Taylor has quick hands and can hurt Pav.
Pav can come back from a beating and hits VERY hard.
      Hard fight to call.

I think you're all forgetting taylor was winning on the cards and nearly had pavlik out of there.
If taylor keeps his left hand up and regulates his energy expenditure then he could maybe beat pavlik and then we go onto a 3rd fight beetween the two.

                  Taylor is losing again.
Pavlik is coming back with the "that 2nd meant ****" statement.

how pathetic is it that a so-called champion punches himself out in two rounds...how dedicated to the sport can you be if you can't even condition yourself properly? He's physically strong, mentally weak, and has limited skills to call upon...the future holds nothing more than a paycheck and an ass whooping for Taylor.

If anything Jermain Taylor is, metaphorically speaking, against the ropes. The other reason that Taylor will win is because let me remind you, before Pavlik caught him offgaurd with a LUCKY PUNCH, Taylor was up on the scorecards.
