Funny you say that because in an interview Beckham said he hoped Hatton would win and his heart is with him but the smart bet would be a Mayweather win. Smart bet indeed

There is no longer big names such as Tyson, Holyfield, Roy Jones Jr, Trinidad, Chavez, Lewis, David Tua, etc so the public is probably wondering who is the #1 fighter? It's the #1 P4P FloydMayweather Jr, the fact that he's a NEW face in boxing who's skilled, and lives up to what he does intrigues the public. You have to understand what sells to the public is QUALITY fights, it's not just big names. For example, if there was a fight between Chad Dawson and Joe Calzaghe I think that fight would sell, not because there big names, but because it's a QUALITY fight that intrigues the public, and that also appeals to hardcore boxing fans as well.
