Mayweather was using his elbows in an illegal fashion.

However, he prepared for more Ricky Hatton then he got, and that has something to do with it. Floyd over-did-it with some of his methods, but this is only because he anticipated the same business from Hatton, in my view.

Floyd had ALWAYS been a dirty fighter. He knows all those tricks. All the old-school type guys do: Toney, Hopkins, etc.

We expected a healthy dose of elbows, which is why we had put it in the "No Excuses Thread" back in October. We all knew Floyd would do that. How could it surprise Ricky?

the arguement isnt whether he did or did not, its that Cortez allowed Floyd to be dirty, by your own account, and not Hatton. in that thread, there was talk of not using Hatton's "dirty tricks" as an excuse if Floyd lost. If Cortez would have allowed Hatton to fight how he fights and penalize Floyd for elbowing, you're saying a thread would not by made because of it?
