ok that makes sense. hatton and graham would benifit from going to a gym like freddie's or something similar and experience training and sparring with more fighters like floyd hatton is great but to finish off his legacy he needs to return better than ever.

Hatton need to recognize his limitations

Ricky is a good competitior at 140, but he needs to see that he is limited in terms of his skills. Alot of heart and good strength but he takes too many shots to the head... Also the holding and hitting is not a strategy for winning going forward.

i agree but what will but that all he knows at the moment come forward hit and hold hold and hit i really thinks he needs a new trainer or at the very least some fresh ideas.

I wonder why Hatton came back without Billy.

He shouldn't drop Billy Graham. After all they do have a long history and no way is he gonna get that connection from anyone else.
He should just bring someone else in to help.

Graham offered nothing to Hatton in between rounds of the Floyd fight.

I was waiting for a Tysonite to say it...waiting...OK, I will say it, Kevin Rooney could have helped him. Ricky is short, good speed, short arms, decent strength, good drinker (which I hear Rooney is good at as well), etc.

Not sure it would work though. It's a style you really have to master over years, but I could be wrong. Getting Ricky to move his head as he comes in wouldn't be a bad idea. Or learning how to put proper combinations together, keeping them tight and effectice...along with keeping his guard up, chin tucked, eyes up, etc. Oh, and the jab.
