Well, I got slammed a while back, prior to the Hatton fight by saying he wasn't the same fighter. Floyd's smart so he adapts to where he is at physically and mentallly in his life.
I wasn't sure if it was the extra weight on his frame (which may cause stamina problems on his small frame), hand problems and other injuries and/or mental change, which he suggested he has changed over the years, becoming more cautious of how he fights in the ring because he has more to live for, his kids.
He throws less punches, doesn't use the jab nearly as much, pot-shots more often, which means less combinations, especially from the start of the fight on, goes to the ropes instead of moving around like he used to do at Lightweight, etc.
Physical prime was a lightweight, and I may even say mental.
He use to go for the win from the beginning of round 1 on.
The Original Floyd would have taken it to Oscar, if not in the beginning, he would have start to put pressure on his ass if he thought it was close.
Before people bring up Castillo (I), it's hard to do it with one arm against a great fighter in their prime.
