It has been worse being black. Black middle class is still to this day almost nonexistent, leaving rich people (sports and entertainment) and poor people (the majority). Slowly more blacks are finishing college and getting better/good jobs. White employers are begining to see black people can be competent and effecient and more chances for blacks in white owned companies. Also black companies are emerging. The biggest gap to overcome is the cultural gap (white people can't dance ) j/k. I mean most whites think blacks are all racist and never think that in average the white people are 1342342x more racist than the average black. Think: 2 world wars, slavery, genocides... Anyway that is the past. With that said i do agree most of the hate of Floyd Mayweather comes from white racists but not all whites are like that. I think most people who are boxing fans, rather than their race's fans ("look at me i'm so great and that guy is great too because he looks like me and i have a feeling all of you who don't are somehow attacking me !insecurity!") love the skill display of Floyd Mayweather and acknowledge that. Remember also Moamed Ali wasn't appreciated until he was really a legend and considered the greatest of all time (which is was with Robbinson and maybe i dare saying Mayweather!) I'd sure put Mayweather up there with Robbinson skillwise and surely ahead of the other Sugar Ray.

Being Floyd of course is worse than being Hatton in a normal day but when you are hated that bad and you finaly beat the guy everyone wants to beat you with you feel good as hell, the smile Floyd showed at the end of the fight said that exactly. It almost makes up for all the hate.

So you'd rather NOT be the number one fighter in the world, have much less money, and have been knocked the **** out than be the guy that IS number one in the world, has more money, and has knocked you the **** out?

Best at avoiding threats to his throne... Hands Down.. Mayweather, the very best in the world. He is reign is "controlled" via selective competition. There can be NO glory when it is blatant. Bring back the champs that welcome a real challenge. Not these actors..

It's tough to say. Ricky knows who his friends are, he has his family and they're all together, he has the adoration of his home town and he has an OBE. The true test will be after the lights are out, there's no more fights, all you have is a highlight reel.

Who do you think is going to be the one whose money is drying up? The guy who has the ten cars and a Segway to get around his living room? Or the guy who still drinks in the same pub he grew up in?

There's a lot of sadness in Floyd's life, I think that's pretty plain, and he has the biggest indicator of misery: Hangers on. I'd like to see Floyd get past his past and ditch the lackeys but I personally don't think it'll happen. I think the lackeys will ditch him once his star has faded.

I mean most whites think blacks are all racist and never think that in average the white people are 1342342x more racist than the average black. Think: 2 world wars, slavery, genocides... Anyway that is the past.
I'm not sure what the First World War is supposed to have had to do with racism. And I don't think it's helpful to suggest that all slavery was the result of racism. It was more the result of greed. Genocides are different, definitely ethnically based, but they're also not the exclusive preserve of white people. Remember Rwanda.

Yeah but Hatton fans are obviously dedicated and passionate and are still backing him even now. If Floyd ever loses or when he hangs em up where will his fans be?
