referee is somewhat unfair though other people said in other threads =\

round 3 1:56? mayweather hit him in the back of the head and hatton looked up and back at the ref to see i guess if he was going to say anything and then he didn't so he looked back to mayweather and i guess shrugged it off.

I'd normally agree but Hatton says he felt fine after. He said he's felt more beaten up after some wins.

I think the double hit from the turnbuckle had a lot to do with the TKO.

But I'd like to see if you're right if he takes on Malinaggi first. If he eats him up, then I'm convinced he's still got it.

Of course he's still got it. It was only one loss and he isn't going to run into punchers as accurate as Floyd too often. Malignaggi should be no problem for him regardless of ref.

I want to see him take another fight or maybe two.

The build-up to Hatton/Mayweather was too long and I think many are now just sick of the whole thing. I'm not so sure a rematch would be quite as popular right now despite the fact many would watch as it was a great fight.

I think both fighters should take a couple more fights before facing each other again.

And both should stay the FCK away from De La Hoya

            listen to this guy:

            Dude

You can discount Watt, McCrory and McGuigan as being credible scoring sources from the beginning as they're Sky pundits who, to be fair, aren't that good at their job. Whenever there's a big scrap on Sky I always try and look at Sopcast for a US copy of the fight as the US folk have shedloads more knowledge of boxing than Sky's crew. If I watch the scrap on Sky, I always tend to try and get a US copy the day or week after from VTB or my mate in London.

Haye? Again, probably not credible, all he cares about is knocking folk out and his own career, what does he care about whether it was 10-9 A or 10-9 B?

HBO had Floyd ahead towards the end, and so again your argument is a bit flawed.

Truth is, Hatton just wasn't good enough. He's not good enough to beat probably even Paul Williams, let alone Floyd.

Given I've just dissed all the world's sports commentators, I'll give you my opinion (opinion, that is) on the fight scoring. I gave Hatton one round (2nd). The rest of the fight was Floyd's. Dude controlled the scrap from the get-go. He needed three rounds to get his jab going and find his range and rhythm, after that, it was all Floyd's all the way.

As for the referee's part in proceedings? Ricky could have had anyone refereeing and letting him fight his fight, and he would have still got beaten. Floyd's got a cracking chin, he's proved this before (Chop Chop Corley caught him flush, Castillo caught him flush, DLH had him troubled a couple of times), Hatton doesn't have the firepower or the technique. So get over it.

They all gave interviews to various papers independent of Sky. Boxing writers all said the same thing. Cortez fkd things up. Even Lennox Lewis said Floyd was doing martial arts with his elbows.

HBO had Floyd ahead towards the end, and so again your argument is a bit flawed.
the commentators repeatedly said Cortez didn't allow Hatton to fight his fight.

Geez man, don't be a hater.

Everyone has their opinion. I vehemently disagree with yours.

Rubbish. He had him numerous times, goes to open up and Cortez rushes in saving Floyd.

This was reffed to one side's advantage and whatever you say, thats not a fair shot and Hatton deserves a level playing field.

It was an unfair blow from Floyd, true, but it started in the prior round with Ricky doing it twice. Both were warned for it.

It's a waste calling some other fighters out there.. Floyd will only fight w/ a rematch against Oscar or Hatton.. Those 2 people could only give Floyd money period. He will never fight Welters out there if it doesn't generate PPV.

Well I may be In the minority here but I actually look for Hatton Mayweather 2 to happen.Even though the second fight will not generate the same money as the first, there Is still enough Interest to see this one again.I would bet that whichever members on this board ordered the first fight would more than likely put down the money to see the second fight myself Included.Prediction for the second fight would be the same result only more than likely Hatton would be ko'd even earlier.(That kills me to say that because I would have loved to have seen Hatton crush Mayweathers skull.Yes I am a hater as many of you are but I do not let that Impair my judgement of reality.)
