If they can be added (Gamboa still has a Top Rank contract and I don't know about Dirrell), the "fake" criticism would still stand. He'd add them to "his" stable just like Vargas and Latimore, but those fight under Golden Boy on paper, as Mayweather is still not a licensed promoter.

If Mayweather Promotions is able to add Dirrell, Gamboa and someone like J'leon Love; Mayweather Promotions would have to be taken seriously but now they are a joke promotional company. MP's current stable of fighters suck. Vargas, Latimore and Savage are average and that's VERY generous. They previously had Wes Ferguson who was a D level fighter that Mayweather did a terrible job with by putting him in the Cherry fights. Given the fact that Mayweather Promotions doesn't have any current talent their company is standing only because of Floyd's name but if they are able to add Dirrell, Gamboa and Love with Floyd's financial backing Mayweather Promotions could become a legitimate BOXING promotional company.

I think up until he starts to develop the company (i would imagine after he retires) it could easily be used as a tax shelter. Since he promotes himself practically everything he does could be considered a business expense if filed correctly.

To my understanding Mayweather promotions is not a promotional company per say.

After reading this article a while back it made me realize that Mayweather is a real smart business man. The guy knows what he's doing, as we all know I suppose.
